Was that a shot at the Devils orrrr?

Only kidding. Rooting for you guys. Great team. Pavelski is the definition of a pro and one of the most underrated players in the game. He is finally getting his due.

I also like PDB and think he is a good coach, it was just time for us to move on as he was no longer the type of coach needed for us. Dinosaur as well. If he wasnt making 3+ mill he would have been a fine 4th liner. We just had to move him up due to lack of talent as well as his salary, which caused the fans to turn on him. He was a great pro, and i wish them both well.

Last nights game was epic. Scored the first goal, then had to come back from down 2-1 and down 3-2. Two goals from the captain in under 2 minutes of play between the end of the 2nd and the 3rd. That brilliant keep-away battle from Tierney and Marleau at the end for the empty netter. Now we're in the drivers seat again, heading back home.

Sharks need to do this one for themselves and for the fans. Punch your ticket to the Cup final at SAP. It will be (so far) the BEST Sharks win at home in the history of the franchise.

We were the "underdogs" going into this series according to most critics. Sharks are proving them wrong. St. Louis is a good team, no doubt, but San Jose wants this. There's no quit, no sulking like previous years, they just keep pushing and pressing and playing their game. We got this. Shut those Blues down and let's GET THAT CUP.

Going to take a much better effort from Joner to close this series out. Especially if they bring Elliot back for Game 6. You know he is going to bring it after being benched...

Joner needs a confidence boost after 2 pretty poor games by him. Let's hope the D in front of him plays lights out like they did in games 2 and 3!

True that. This is going to 7 games. Elliott will steal game 6!

Wouldn't surprise me, but at the same time I think closing this series out in 6 is MUCH more critical than it was against Nashville so hoping the Sharks bring their A game.

Especially if Tampa wins tonight. That's a well rested group having only lost 1 game against Detroit and NYI.

WHats with the Fredrick Andersen pic on the HB homepage?

While I,m complaining, the schedule for next round came out and its pretty terrible. If the Sharks and Lightning finish off their series in their respective next games, the 3rd round will end 5/26. If the Cup Final goes the distance, it will 21 days (3 weeks) until the end of the Cup Final on 6/15. 3 weeks to play 7 games!?!? Whose idea was that?

That does sound dumb. If we do make it to the Finals, would that play to our advantage? It seems like we have one of the oldest rosters remaining and they could use the rest.

EDIT: According to nhlnumbers.com, SJ and Pittsburgh both have some of the older rosters in the league while Tampa and St. Louis are relatively young.

Can we just say home ice DISadvantage already? Home ice never meant nearly as much in the NHL as in other leagues (at least in the recent decades) but in this playoffs it seems to be particularly bad for home teams, especially in the later stages of series. Tampa is the latest victim, losing to Pittsburgh at home after two. Let's hope the Sharks can win at home tomorrow for a change.

I don't think your sources are quite right..
According to my calculations, of the skaters who I believe dressed for the playoffs for each team: the average ages are

PIT - 27.1
TBY - 26.4
STL - 27.0
SJS - 28.5
